Full Detail on my F10
Spent much of yesterday and this morning detailing my F10. I really enjoy detailing cars. I grew up in my Dad's Shop and I did detailing on the side. I even used to wax Kenny 'Snake' Stabler's boat! I find detailing rewarding as well as a great stress reliever. The weather was so great, a cool cloudy day yesterday, slightly warmer and clearer today.
I believe preparation, quality materials, patience, and technique is the key. I get all of my supplies from Detailed Image. I have no affliation with them, but I started using them when I had a 2010 Infiniti G37 and I found out about them in one of the G37 forums. They offer great products at good prices, lots of sales, and a great deal of advice on their site. I'm sure there are others as good, but they work for me. Supplies used: Chemical Guys Maxi Suds Porter Cable 7424XP Polisher Meguiar's M105 Ultra Cut Meguliar's M205 Finishing Polish Meguliar's Microfiber Cutting Pad Meguliar's Microfiber Finishing Pad Detailed Image Fine Grade Clay Chemical Guys Synthetic Quick Detailer/Lube Poorboys World Polish with Sealant P21S Concours Carnuba Wax Chemical Guys Window Clean DI Microfiber Glass Polishing Towel Einszett Cockpit Premium Poorboy's World Leather Stuff DI Microfiber Towels Started Friday morning, finished today around noon. Full wash using two bucket method. Towel Dry While my paint is in good shape, I have a few micro scratches, so I used the Polisher with the 105 cutting polish on the hood, trunk, and one side panel to get rid of (most) of the scratches out. Next step was a single pass over with the 205 Finishing Polish with the polisher and the paint really started to shine. After putting the polisher away, I then applied one coat of the Poorboy's Sealant/Wax and it looks really good. I always like the sealant to stay on overnight, plus it was date night, (London Has Fallen is pretty good, as was the TexMex and Margaritas) This morning I then put on a coat of the P21s, which is an awesome wax, I believe it's as good as waxes that are very expensive. P21s isn't cheap, but has a great bang for the buck. Wow she is really looking good! Now it was time to do a little interior work. I'm a big fan of the Cockpit Premium for all interior surfaces except leather. It leaves a matte finish and a slight citrus scent. It cleans and protects without the wet look of other stuff. Next, I have my own technique for Leather seats. I take the Poorboy's in my hand and rub it into the leather and let it set for 15 minutes, then remove and buff with a microfiber cloth. They look almost new! So that's it. Shoutout to Junkman for his Polishing Videos, I watched all four of them and did a much better job with the polisher because of it. I also detailed my wife's Bug who's paint was a hot mess, spider webs, scratches etc (not as bad as the Meano Camino) but pretty bad. I'm not done but it is looking better than it has in years. Enjoy the rest of your weekend and I wish everyone a Very Happy Easter![IMG][/IMG]

Very nice bro, I love Chemical Guys stuff. I use them all the time. The polish I use though is Minzerna, then follow with Chemical Guys glaze, then wax. Although, I think on my F10 I will go to town and do the full Opticoat 2. I have a Porter Cable, Rupes Bigfoot, and a Milwaukee high speed polisher. They get the job done

I love this post! Your car looks great! I, myself, love to detail cars as well like crazy! My F10 is silver too so it's always great to see other silver F10s. But there was ONE thing I didn't like.
AS A STUDENT AT UNIVERSITY OF GEORGIA, GO DAWGS! But that aside, I love it! What's your thoughts on the sealant/wax? I always stuck with Collinite but would love to hear opinions!

I too love detailing cars. It's truly like therapy, to focus on a task and see immediate results is extremely gratifying. On top of that, I too love the silver. Such a great color on cars. I'm really pleased with how it looks, both inside and outside. Regarding sealant, I don't know much about Collnite, but to me the important thing is to use a good sealant. Poorboy's just happens to be one of many. I've also used Klasse with good success.
