295/30/20 on 9" wheels
I am planning on mounting new set of pilot 4s on my vehicle on stock 373m wheels at 8.5FR and 9RR width diameter with 255/35/20FR and 295/30/20RR.
I know 295 is not ideal for 9in, but was wondering if anyone here has mounted that width on a 9in wide rim? if so how bad the bulge would be? very noticeable or not? or major safety or other concerns? Any input would be grateful thank you |

Tirerack lists the "recommended rim width" for each size tire on the website. Go to the 4S, look under specs. They recommend a minimum of 10" wheel width for the size you are listing. You might find that a narrower tire on that wheel might also handle better, due to the geometry of the support from the tire bead in relation to the width of the overall carcass.
