550 Engine Oil Level: Is this normal?

I got this car with 21260 on the Odometer and after reaching 21311 i got this message. This is CPO and supposedly was services by the dealer before being sold to me.

I'm coming from a 2015 428xi 4 cylinder going to this monstrous V8 so I expected that the 550 would burn alot more oil but not this soon especially since it was supposedly just services by the dealer.

Top it off, yourself or at the dealer. Keep a record of it.

Id go to dealer since it is cpo, if it burns or possible leak they should fix since you have had for less then 200 miles. Thats insane.... specially only 21k on it.

According to the service records it was done on 06/08/18 when they were doing the BMW Certified Inspection.

You think they'd do this for free? My concern is that if the oil change was done on 06/08/18 and the car just sat in the showroom based on the mileage, is it normal that the car would want 2 quarts of oil 100 Miles later?

Id bring it up with them, thats not normal to just loose 2 quarts of oil in 100 miles. If that were the case they sold you a lemon and you would have to keep adding oil otherwise that engine would be toast. Maybe best case senario they didn't top off the oil correctly?

So I took the car into the dealer for a oil top-off and while they were doing that and their worthless "multi-point" inspection they discovered that there was an oil leak and they replaced the Vent Pipe 111066 - BMW (11-15-8-647-961) & Connecting Line 111060 - BMW (11-15-8-647-299).

This just makes me think that the car wasn't really serviced before it was sold to me, even though they claim it went through a thorough inspection to certify it as a CPO.

Starting to lose trust in BMW SMH.

Yea I paid nothing out of pocket since the new car warranty is still active until November.

What state are you in? Some states have a policy where if a problem happens within 5 days you could take the car back to the store and get the money back.

As great as this cat is, you don't want to get stuck with an unreliable car once warranty expires in November. 550i drinks oil like you would chug water after eating habanero peppers. The multipoint inspection is BS even if it comes from a BMW dealership.
