Do they replace the EGR valve in the recall or just the cooler?
I know they “ may “ replace intake - but I’m unclear on the EGR valve. Wanted to be sure - working through a severe vibration issue - I don’t think EGR is the culprit but it seems like something I’ll have to do at some point. Going to be wrenching on it this weekend - if it’s not part of the recall I’ll probably do it. |

I would ask the dealer for a copy to keep with you maintenance records. |

A couple things. If it's an Xdrive diesel, the motor has two EGR coolers, and both have had recalls. I had mine looked at 2 years ago, and replacement was called for. In the process, some carbon was apparently let loose into a chamber and it wouldn't make power. Since I had 130,000 miles I said OK, and I split the cost with the dealer. Since then, it has run better with better mileage!
