PLS Help F10 N55 constant misfire on cylinder 3
Car was running MHD stage 2 when it first started to get the misfire. Changed all the plugs as well as new coils. Problem still on cylinder 3. Next i figured maybe i'd try the fuel injector. Changed that and had it calibrated. Still same issue on cylinder 3. I also set the tune to stage 0. Just to see if it would by chance help it did not. I'm lost on what to do so any help or direction would be greatly appreciated. Car has intake, charge pipe, intercooler, and catless dp if that makes any difference.

Did you tap your plugs down? Anywhere between .18 - .22
You can put in a gallon or 2 of e85 to calm the knock without any fuel upgrades. Don't go past 2 gallons if you don't have upgraded fueling hardware

Yes I know but who knows if that one new plug is bad... I am just asking because it happened to me... I installed new plugs and cyl 2 was misfiring so I changed it out with my cyl 1 and then I was getting cyl1 misfiring so I took that plug back to dealer and I showed them the misfiring and the receipt and gave me 1 new plug..

i'm having the exact same issue. I also have MHD but my car is completely stock otherwise. New plugs were installed a few weeks ago at my dealer. Even before the plugs i noticed the the car would be idling, i'd get a single "jerk' or "stumble' randomly. it started happening about a month ago. i removed MHD completely and still had the "stumble". What i did notice was if i applied load to the car, (climbing a hill, put in 5th or 6th gear manual mode at a low speed and try to accelerate), the car would start to stumble and go into limp mode. the other thing i noticed was at slower speeds and lower rpms, even maintaining a speed at say 1500rpm, i could feel the random "stumble" here and there. I'm going to look at new coils, just because i haven't replaced them for over 100,000kms. Be interesting to hear what your resolution will be.

Other possible obvious spots. 02 sensors and MAF cleaning.

So a small update. I swapped plugs between 3 and 1. The problem followed the plug to 1. I believe what may have happened, was the bad injector somehow fouled up the new plug I put in. I'll find out for sure tomorrow if this works or not.

sweet! This is annoying but it's much better than you swapping the coil/plug and it STILL being on cyl3 lol. Best of luck!

Thanks. I definitely hope this does the trick. I been driving my 9" lifted sierra so I've gotten really friendly with the local gas station.

Did your issue get resolved? I installed new coils and all still having issues. And randomly getting Super Knock on cylinder 6 now too. Removed mhd and running stock but still getting misfires on cylinder 3. Moved coil and plug to cylinder 1 and still having misfire on cylinder 3. Might order new injectors and have bmw install them for me anyways.

I use to have the same issue. Prelude to injector failure. I replaced all my injectors and problems went away. It is still possible yours may need a carbon clean depending in mileage but for me, new injectors and new plugs solved it.
