The VVT valve cover vent breather thingamajig would also help release some of the pressure that is shoving oil back into the intake I would think.

That's an N54 but basically it replaces the oil cap and has a one way valve on it. Bmwdoubles_ has one and has written about it.

so this pretty much replaces the oil cap but has a filter on it? interesting....this will fit the N55?

Yes, they have the N55 version, like I said Bmwdoubles_ has it and has wrote about it. He said his engine felt like revs were a bit peppier if that makes sense. But remember he kinda needs this since he's going to be running 22lbs of boost.
