Amazon Steering wheel cover review...
So I did this and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. I like the looks and while I didn't expect for it to "feel better" it actually does! I like the feel of it over the stock wheel. I'm not going to do a full DIY but I will say these few things:
1. It was WAY easier to remove the steering wheel, just make sure you can clear codes for the airbag after you are done if you get any. If you can't clear codes just make sure NOT to turn your ignition on while test fitting it (I had to move my car mid project so I got the codes) 2. I'll have to secure some of the edges with some super glue as there wasn't anything to hold it to the wheel other than the double sided tape. Which I thought I was going to be able to feel under the wrap, but I couldn't, it was good. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 |

Looks great! How long did it take to install everything?

So I thought about doing this as well. I went to a local upholstery shop and got talked out of it. The reason being is the suede gets really nappy over time and doesn't hold up well. If it's your daily daily driver then I would love to see hear how it holds up!

Suede isn't a great material for something you touch all the time and is a pain in the ass to clean and maintain. I owned a pair of suede shoes and sold them because it was such a pain in the ass.

They were purple lmao. Got them originally for a Roaring 20's themed party and the color kinda grew on me.

Obviously this option is substantially less but if you want to step it up a little bit more, around 400 bucks this is what I did:
https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?m...2F273582583820 I got them to lower the price by 40 bucks Mine is holding up very well after a few months so far. You can't see to well in this image but it has a flat bottom. I refreshed the bmw emblem and got a real M trim piece. The shift boot and knob are next. Got this Alcantara boot here: https://cobywheel.com/alcantara-prod...-products.html And we'll see if this fits (it should because I have a UUC shifter for an e90, but my stock shifter fits on the UUC so theoretically this should fit due to that) here: https://www.ecstuning.com/b-euro-imp...ed/bmw-6b~eim/

Yea, that's a bit more than I spent lol. Now that I know how easy it is to swap things out, I'll be doing that eventually or after my suede goes to crap!
Did the steering wheel have the cut outs in the back for paddle shifters? Paddle shifters you obviously don't have :-) |

The flat bottom can mess with you when you're not expecting it but you adjust.

Very nice. I will be doing this soon. Just bought a M-sport wheel with paddle shifters off ebay over the weekend. Should be here tomorrow.

Here is an update on how this lasts... I knew the double sided tape was temporary so I'd probably do this upon install if I do it again...
