Car is half dead after carwash.

I need help guys. I had my 550i detailed and apparently the guys blasted water into the engine bay and now the car no longer starts and I cannot even open the trunk. The car lights up and I hear a click when I try to start it, but it never starts. What could have possibly gone wrong? HELP......

Why don't you make the detail shop pay for dealer visit and towing + repairs. As you left them the car in running condition.

Actually this was a mobile detailing unit, so it was done at home. So the car is stuck in the driveway. They are sending someone to come take a look at it tomorrow.

Did you try using a jump starter? It can connect to the terminals under the hood.

Yes I did, no luck, plus i don't think it is a battery issue, as everything lights up. I'm afraid some module might have been fried.

I am getting a Starter/Ignition Malfunction. Could the starter itself have gone bad?

There's a power supply before the ecu called the IVM. It's an all in one unit. That will cause the car not to start if it's fried. Also our wires to the ecu are completely exposed it's best not to hit the connectors directly with water but all detailers should know to wrap modern engines electric parts.

Check the current on the IVM. Also I'm not recommending you cut your IVM open, the link is more of visual for you
