245/40/R20 and 275/35/r20 on 373m wheels

Hey guys I wanted a little more sidewall on the 20" wheels I got to replace the 19s on my 550i. Wanted to ask if anybody was running 245/40 and 275/35 (or potentially a 285/35) on their F10 on 20s and if there are any issues?

These are the 383m wheels, 8.5 front et32 and 9 rear et 45

My car is a 2015 550i xDrive so I'd need to stay within 1% diameter

Thanks in advance for the help and if especially if you have pictures

Shouldn't be a problem, though I have not done it (yet). I'm using 245/45-19 Michelin winters on 408m wheels (19x9, et32 F et 25 R) which are the same diameter as you're proposing (27.7") and I have no issues.

I'm considering the same tire sizes for my summers for the same reasons: better ride, better looks (less fender gap).

Update:

Got the wheels done in gloss black and on the car, went with the 245/40/20 and 275/35/20 with 15mm spacer in rear, looks and drives super smooth

Looks great! Almost makes the car look lowered even though it's actually sitting higher.

I just put this tire set up on my GT yesterday and the car is jumping. I previously had 22'' on and never had any issues. Any ideas?

the car looks great..! am having the same model and same color . but the wheel pattern is different .

1.)how do u feel the ride difference from RFT to NRFT in small poth holes and rough rodes. also does it scratches the front fender ?
2.) are they 20inch from factory or you bought new OEM wheels ?

Mine is 20" 464. Still hesitant or over thinking if I should go with normal 20 " tyres &restoring rims or after market 19 inch . Not sure does restoring rims will make a diff or not since new after market rims are almost same price

Are you going to run that setup in the winter too? Whole lotta of footprint on the pavement.

Good luck.

All things being equal, a larger sidewall is going to give a smoother ride.

Why did you need a spacer?
