Dual to quad exhaust set up

Hi everyone, I'm currently running a stock exhaust on my M sport 535ix and was thinking to go quad. I only want to change the tips since I don't mind the stock exhaust and wanted to ask for some advice. Please let me know if you have done this conversion and what was needed for it?

Thank you!

I'm sort of interested in this too, except I have the M Performance exhaust. Presumably, you'd require a new diffuser to fit the new tips. My main concern with replacing the diffuser is that I've read with most aftermarket solutions, you lose the comfort access kick-to-open trunk feature. Might not be a deal breaker for you, but for me it is since I use it quite often.

I would not want to lose that option for sure, was hoping that it's not difficult to install it on the new diffuser but if I can't then I might reconsider going quad. I wonder if someone can provide input on that as well.

I use to run quad exhaust tips on my stock muffler M Sport 535i before changing to M5 mufflers. You will need M5 diffuser (or bumper cut if your car does not have M Sport body kit) and a set of "h" pipe exhaust tips, you can get these tips from eBay AliExpress etc and a good muffler shop to install the tips.

Love the look and thank you! Can you provide some details about your diffuser please?

Also, do you have the kick to open trunk option?

M5 OEM diffuser, and unfortunately no, I don’t have kick to open trunk option as my car is too old (2010)

Is this just an MSport bumper with a M5 diffuser?

I have an M5 exhaust to install on a 550i modern with the square exhaust. I don’t think the comp fits on that bumper. I want to install this within the month.

Yes, the M5 diffuser only fits the M Sport bumper, which is exactly the same as M5 bumper

I have a 2013 535 xdrive base but I think it came with m sport rear bumper. I’m trying to install m5 exhaust as well. Here’s an image of my car, you think a m5 oem or oem style diffuser would fit? Thanks

I’ve been told yes and no on if a M5 diffuser will fit a m sport bumper. They look exactly the same so not sure why it wouldn’t fit
