I highly recommend TrainerRoad (TR) if you haven't tried it before. I've used Zwift and Xert and strongly prefer TR for the programs.

Will look into it, thanks! I prefer outdoor training programs because riding indoors defeats the purpose for me, but I'm sure there's a lot I can work with

You can do TR outdoors apparently - through your GPS I think, although I haven't attempted it, and not sure how feasible it would be unless you are in the country..

Nice easy 10 miler today, a few riders of racing bikes with drop bars went past me but the tortoise always catches the road runner in the end

I think that's supposed to be the tortoise and the hare, Rick.

After a week of short neighborhood rides on the hybrid, I took the roadie out for a longer spin today.

That's ok. After all they are both desert animals.

I did find this pic, Rick.

Put in a scenic 21.48 miles of urban cycling yesterday. Exploring links to hook the bike trails up was fun. All our European friends should enjoy that fabulous elevation change

12 mile ride on trail + sidewalks. Muggy and overcast, but not overly warm, so it was pretty comfortable.

It's such a nice evening I decided to try a short ride in the dark around the neighborhood streets. Haven't ridden in the dark since I was a kid. It was sweet. Nice and cool. Might have to do that more often.

12 mile ride on our standard route. Mid-60s temp at the start, ended near 80 deg at the end, only 1 hr later. Nice day with not much wind. Wife had a flat with a skinny tire. Thankfully she carries a tool bag with tube and CO2 cartridge+dispenser. 10 minutes later and we were back on the road.

Got the "Di2 Low battery" warning today halfway through the ride. I was also running out of gas, so I cut the ride short at 16 miles. I might grab a few more just pedaling around the neighborhood later tonight.

Lots of rain here today, so I had to settle for 20 "miles" on the trainer. Decent workout, but not as strenuous as riding outside. Fulgaz ride video on the left, Red Sox game on the right.

(Not sure why the screen on the left looks so washed out. It's a nice sharp picture in reality.)

12 miles. Good ride, no flat tires! Overcast, cool and humid/clammy.

Wore a sweatshirt the entire ride. Autumn is here!

The usual 10 miler today earlier on the same route and glad to say two new horses on the farm, a fully grown and a foal.

Sunny and warm today, but that wind nixes any thoughts of riding.

The wife and I completed the 25 mile option of the Denver Century Ride this weekend (although it was actually 27.5 miles). We're already planning to upgrade our bikes for next year and try for the 50 mile route.
