Swing your foot under the bumper and the trunk opens. I guess that is for when one has both hands busy as in a bag of groceries in one and a child on the other. Someone is going to love that, even if it is a bit over the top.

Meanwhile, I would like to see the US 1 series July changes with the rumored 135is.

Is this a full TFT display screen then? No more analog dials?

As I see it, B&O might even costs more since the Hi-Fi speakers are standard on the F13, but an option on the F10.

Absolutely gross. Looks like some kind of toy gadget thing from a Mazda.

Do these changes affect the M5 too?

reminds me of the display changes on the Lexus Lh200.....

Something nice about analogue needles.... will miss them as this spreads through the line

Having just bought a 530d msport, glad i did before this new dashboard came in, looks very cheesy to me.
Looks like something in a Nissan 350z or similar.
Each to their own but this doesn't look it belongs in a 5 series IMHO

With the advent of full LCD displays for the istrument cluster I predict that we'll get to the day when you can buy your dahs board theme on the internet, download it on to a USB stick and upload to your car.
Massive market in customisable displays.
Its probably not far away........

I guess it's cool but do they need to make BMW's feel more like a computer? I'm sure there are others who share the same opinion that the there's something about the analog cluster just goes with BMW's (I'm thinking the very plain speedometer in orange). Now that they moved from the orange to the red/white cluster and now full out display, BMW is taking out the small things that make a BMW, a BMW.

That being said, something this small isn't going to be a huge factor in purchasing future cars.

Call me old fashioned.........but I think it`s horrible

BMW instrument clusters USED to be the best, but things are going the wrong way with these fancy MID`s

IMO the current 5er and 6er instrument cluster are the best in the whole BMW line up, even the newer 1er and 3er are no match, they should have sticked to them in the 1er and 3er

You can keep it orange in all modes correct?
I have a feeling this is going to be one of those things that are brilliant in theory, but not too great in practice.

I also want to know more about the electromechanical steering. Is that what is already on the regular 5er? If not why are they only putting it on the GT?

I'm guessing in most markets, this will be the new extended black panel and therefore will probably only come with the HUD?

I'm so glad i bought my car now and not in a few months!

How much will this option be? I need a new car soon and I'm not sure if its worth waiting for if the price is crazy.

I do like needles, but this new display looks great too. I like it better than the Mercedes one!
