Is my car F10 LCI or not?
Hi Guys,
I've been trying to find a set of bumpers for my SE that are either m performance spec or m5 spec but I'm reading all about normal f10 and LCI f10 and I've concluded that mine is possibly an LCI which means I've no idea which bumpers will fit it now? Can anyone identify it, if it is LCI or not? And any heads up on which bumpers will and won't fit? Thanks! |

Does your iDrive knob have the touchpad on top? That started with the LCI.

Thanks so much for all the info!
Here's a pic of the interior, do you think the normal m tech bumpers and skirts will fit it? Or is there any known differences in brackets etc.? |

For sure the side skirts are rear bumper you can do. For the front bumper I don't know but I don't see why you couldn't

If you use one of the multiple online part database sites (see 3 of my favs below):
BTW, the car's VIN is in multiple location around the car...its usually at the base of the windshield, on one of the shock towers in the engine bay, on the driver's door or door jamb, behind the rear license plate...and you can even pull it up if you unlock the instrument cluster. Here's another example below...if I pull up the diagram of the M-bumper using a generic Euro 520i...it reveals a production date range that the bumper can be used on based on build date (click the links below to see the build date range for pre LCI & LCI):

If you have the car the VIN is in the door jamb or on the front drivers side window

I'm pretty sure there will be no "LCI" documentation. That is a manufacture's in-house designation of mid-cycle changes. Some American manufacturers use generation numbers; i.e. Gen 1, 2, etc. The cycle, or generation, of the car is predetermined when the model is released. The F10 was (IIRC) 2011-2016. The E "series" was the same. From what I gather, the NBT replaced the CIC as the iDrive in the LCI's. To be absolutely sure you get an LCI, get a 2014-2016 F10.
