Is my car F10 LCI or not?

Hi Guys,

I've been trying to find a set of bumpers for my SE that are either m performance spec or m5 spec but I'm reading all about normal f10 and LCI f10 and I've concluded that mine is possibly an LCI which means I've no idea which bumpers will fit it now?

Can anyone identify it, if it is LCI or not? And any heads up on which bumpers will and won't fit?

Thanks!

When is your build date?
For European I think it was 2013, over here it was 2014.

Looks like an LCI f10 - the small reflectors in the rear bumper are lower in the LCI.

Does your iDrive knob have the touchpad on top? That started with the LCI.

Thanks so much for all the info!

Here's a pic of the interior, do you think the normal m tech bumpers and skirts will fit it? Or is there any known differences in brackets etc.?

The car was registered in the second half of 2013, where could I find a build date?

Thanks

For sure the side skirts are rear bumper you can do. For the front bumper I don't know but I don't see why you couldn't

I've noticed some of the bumpers come with a new bracket for that bumper so it should be safe if I order one of those, but ill keep searching for what other people have dine.

So the rear bumper hasn't changed shape at all and will fit?

Thanks

I think you're going about this the wrong way. Instead of shopping visually "by looks"...I find that it is much better to shop based on your VIN and build date. There can be small changes that occur mid production that could have you with a part that doesn't fit if you just buy it from the way that it looks.

If you use one of the multiple online part database sites (see 3 of my favs below):
  1. https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/select
  2. http://bmwfans.info/parts-catalog/
  3. https://bimmercat.com/ (this site also has a VIN decoder)
...you can input the last 7 digits of your VIN (or select the appropriate tabs for model/model year/build date/etc)...then go to the diagrams and pull up the exact 11 digit BMW part nbrs you need or are looking for. You can then SHOP using the correct 11 digit part nbr. For most parts (except for something really rare)...you can simply type "BMW xx xx x xxx xxx" into a google search box and find vendors and dealers that sell the part you're searching for.

BTW, the car's VIN is in multiple location around the car...its usually at the base of the windshield, on one of the shock towers in the engine bay, on the driver's door or door jamb, behind the rear license plate...and you can even pull it up if you unlock the instrument cluster.

Here's another example below...if I pull up the diagram of the M-bumper using a generic Euro 520i...it reveals a production date range that the bumper can be used on based on build date (click the links below to see the build date range for pre LCI & LCI):

If you have the car the VIN is in the door jamb or on the front drivers side window

There's only one version of the MSPORT rear bumper

I put it in that decoder and returned the following image. It does not specify LCI anywhere though?
The information it returned is interesting though, thanks!

I'm pretty sure there will be no "LCI" documentation. That is a manufacture's in-house designation of mid-cycle changes. Some American manufacturers use generation numbers; i.e. Gen 1, 2, etc. The cycle, or generation, of the car is predetermined when the model is released. The F10 was (IIRC) 2011-2016. The E "series" was the same. From what I gather, the NBT replaced the CIC as the iDrive in the LCI's. To be absolutely sure you get an LCI, get a 2014-2016 F10.
