This or that...GT3 photoshop content, opinions welcome

Playing around with photoshop and put some HRE 305Ms on there. Curious what people think?

Not trying to be rude but I think those HRE's look awful. The black ones look great. Are those just stock Porsche wheels?

The black wheels are OEM.

I like the HREs much better then the black. I’ve always favored silver over black wheels. Really dislike black to be honest.

FI-Rs are nice. HRE makes a similar style as well. They also have the S101, which I’ve always been a fan of - they are a 3pc though. Ever play around with gold? A little much for some, but I think it can be done in a classy manner as well.

That particular wheel looks like shit. Basic as can be and they have the audacity to charge you a billion dollars for that set. You could just powdercoat your wheels a more exciting color.

BBS FI-R are also played out; if you're gonna spend $12k on wheels why not get some forged magnesium ones from Litespeed racing? They're Taiwanese forgings cut here and are very literally the lightest wheels you can buy. I have a set coming for the turbo s.

But seriously, tell me what you really think.

I like the 305M because they remind me of Ruf wheels. I like the clean lines. For forged, CL wheels they actually aren’t too expensive. They aren’t for everyone, of course.

I had P101SCs on my previous 992 TTS and I’m honestly a little over the style, which is very similar to FI-R. I do like FI-R but they are super expensive - way more than the 305M.

I’m not going to lower the car and wouldn’t upsize the wheel, so aftermarket may not be in the cards. I like the stock wheels, so that’s fine but it’s fun to think about the options.

Hah, I don't sugar coat or bullshit people, no point.

Look into the Litespeed wheels if you want cool unique wheels, but they do sort of look like the FI-Rs. I agree with you about the P101SC's and the FI-R. It doesn't matter how much crap they cut out of them, the concept is still the same. The only other wheel company that stuck out to me as having "fresh" designs were the Brixton forged, but they are even more overpriced than HRE's.

If you really want to do something crazy, why not just ask one of the companies to cut you something unique? A set of forged wheels runs $4k designed exactly how you want with FEA. I have a buddy who literally has forged teddy bears on his Model Y.

Did you get rid of your M5CS? Haven't seen you around in awhile...you replaced it with the 911 turbo?

HREs would look better in a gunmetal or platinum silver finish (BBS).

The wheel is similar to some of the RUF wheels.

the FI-Rs are hot but they look too similar to the stock wheel to justify the price I think.

I agree that its time to switch up the black on black ;-)

tough to beat stock. porsche did a good job with these wheels.

some wheels that i think look good on gt3s:
hre p40sc, but they are kind of old now
bbs lmr, more racey look, but like the fi-r kind of played out.
hre classic 300, i think they look great but hide the calipers a bit

if you like the 5 spoke design the hre 527 looks good and has a lip

Wheels smeelz.

What about the Touring...
How long have you had it?
Overall thoughts?
Comfort seats?
3 pedals?

It and the Targa are definitely my favorites.

Back that other P out and snap us a pic.

I thought about 3 or 2 piece wheel, but I think those probably look better upsized to 21”. I really don’t want to upsize, just from a performance, cost, ride quality standpoint. You’re right in that the stock wheels are good. I might even consider picking up a silver set of OEMs if I ran across some. Just to mix it up every now and then. Wouldn’t want to buy those new - the cost is astronomical.

Have had the Touring for a few months now. It’s a manual (the 991 Touring only came in manual) and I upgraded the shifter to a Numeric short shifter and installed a center exhaust bypass as well. It’s the best car I’ve ever owned - sounds incredible and the engine is a lot of fun. The shifter is super nice.

Other car is a 993. I’ve done a lot of stuff to it.

Hot damn, that's nice too. Clean.
I didn't notice it was a 991. Black just submerged my attention to detail.
I won't torment myself by looking at the market anymore. Just ridiculous.

Njoy!!!
