F10 door/side mirrors

Can anyone help please,I have just come across an absolutely mint 2017 F11 only 20k miles but does not have electric folding door mirrors now being what it is I could live without the electric folding but i can’t get them to fold in manually and I don’t want use brute force in case I damage them, what I want to know does anyone know if BMW ever fitted absolutely fixed assembly not intended to move by the way the glass adjusts electrically.

I thought for safety purposes, all mirrors had to be break-away. Hence, you should be able to fold them manually. Although that may have been a US based requirement.

Here are instructions on how to lubricate the manually folding side mirrors:

Lubricate exterior mirror spring

Repair instructions for lubricating the springs

Fault cause:

Springs at mirror base are not lubricated enough.
Repair instructions:

Remove cover from exterior mirror, see repair instructions
Relieve spring at mirror base using a pliers {see graphic 1}
Slide small slotted screwdriver between the spring and the mirror base {see graphic 2}
Lubricant No. 510 (see document Auxiliary and operating fluids) in the arising gap, spray between spring and mirror base

Note: Both contact surfaces of the springs have to be sprayed!

Remove slotted screwdriver
Manually move exterior mirror in and out, x3
If interference noise is still present, repeat process
Spray entire springs between coils and tubular rivet to protect against corrosion
Fit the cover of the exterior mirror and mirror glass
