Installed BM3 today and feels to have much more mid range grunt. Going to see if my buddy can get me some dyno time this afternoon or tomorrow to see what true gains are.

Stock run attached from when I purchased the car. Second is stock graph VS stage 1 BM3 93 octane

Stock 265whp - 291ftlbs
Tune 312whp - 428 ftlbs

Actually used the E85 calculator on mixture ratio of e85 to 91 octane. (blend)

So much better pulling through the mid rpm range!

Ahhhh...... I'm afraid I'd muck something up trying to mix. I also don't remember seeing many E85 stations around here...

Fortunate enough to flash vehicle while on the dyno at my friends shop.

91 Stage 1 file works perfectly well and since it is so easy to download the tune files and flash, my buddy and I decided to see what the 93 tune would do and was surprised on how much more torque/hp you could get out of a couple of gallons of E85.

So I've been able to run 93 octane since we left Texas (in New Orleans now) and you couldn't be more right! What a DIFFERENCE! Who'da thunk that 2 octane could make such a difference.

Now if I can only find ethanol-free on our route.

They also have a mobile version with a special wifi device but I think would be cheaper just to go out and buy a used laptop for $100 - $150. You can always use the same laptop for getting ISTA and bmw diagnostic packages out there. (if you are into that).

I'm looking for the easiest way without having a shop do this. Know of any YouTube video that show this? Thanks!

It really is quite easy to flash the vehicle using a laptop (have done it 3 times now). I'm sure the mobile version is just as easy. Took me longer to get the program/car activated then it does to flash the car.

Currently patiently waiting for my FMIC and catted downpipe to show up so I can get even better numbers without going too crazy on the mods.

Finally had the time to install ER Catted down-pipe, FMIC, BM3 Stage 2 93 tune. Feels punchier than stage 1. Have to wait till the weekend for a dyno run to see what real numbers are at.

Project Corn Box

Got to finally install the little group project that we have been working on for the last 2 weeks. It is an ethanol sensor project/package that if works properly we may be even able to produce for sale. Works great so far and will work for any vehicle that the owner is using or planning to use E85 or an ethanol blend.

I'm not sure of the purpose... To detect how much ethanol is in the gas? Then what? Just inquiring...

In our case, we here in SoCal can not get 93 octane so using a blend of ethanol and 91 to achieve the correct (or close to) octane rating. There is also quite a wide variance in the quality of ethanol from source to source. Also heard through the grapevine that there may be some available OTS tunes for E30 or E40 blends soon.

Had a day on the dyno at my friends shop and after playing around with S2 93 tune we had time to do some runs. Pretty happy with the outcome. Really need a FMIC yet as heat soak seems to be an issue after consecutive pulls. Need to let the car cool down a little between runs.

Running ER catted downpipe, ER Chargepipe, stock exhaust, K&N replacement filter, and approx E20 - E25 ethanol mix.

Is this an OTS map? I'm running the Stage 2 E30 map with the same mods (no upgraded FMIC) as well. If we're really pushing near 475wtq then that's impressive.

I've thought about both, but those M5s are getting very cheap very quick...

M5 diffuser

Had some time this weekend to install M5 diffuser along with muffler delete and Helmholtz style resonators but the low rpm drone is more than I am liking. Time to do some searching for some OEM M5 mufflers.
