Rear Reflector for a 2011 535i

Hey guys. I'm a long time E92 owner and recently just purchased an F10. The car I bought was missing a rear reflector so I ordered one from ebay. As soon as I tried to install it I realized the ebay one I ordered has pieces to clip it in but my car there is nothing there, It seemed like the reflector is supposed to be taped on. Anyone know whats going on here and where can I find the proper reflector for the car?

It looks like the base and m sport have different part numbers.

They have the reflector but its same thing with clips behind it. Its strange how my bumper doesn't have a place to insert the reflector.

interesting! when I swapped my non M to MSPORT you can clearly see there's tabs in the bumper for the reflectors to snap in

I ordered OEM MSPORT reflectors which also came with tabs.

I will say when I popped off my reflectors on my non M rear bumper the reflectors had tabs on them because I tried to see if they would fit on the MSPORT which they did not. so i'm curious if your rear bumper was an aftermarket? which to me wouldn't make sense anyways since my MSPORT is aftermarket but had tabs cut out for the reflectors?

I have a feeling my bumper might be an aftermarket non m sport bumper because I'm looking online and literally all reflectors have tabs in them.

May be your car was in an accident before and the body shop replaced it with a non OEM bumper. (pretty common crap they do)

I would cut the tabs off and install them with double sided type.

+1 I would do the same. the reflectors sit pretty deep inside so nobody would know. use Gorilla double sided tape and use rubbing alcohol to clean the inside of the cavity before you install it. make sure you do grind down those tabs completely flat
