H&R for 523i
Hi all
New to the forum and this is one nice site for F10. I hope someone can help me out with this , I am looking for lowering spring for 523 but H&R only offers springs for 528 and higher , according to their website. So do you think this HR spring for 528 will be good on my 523 ? IF not I MIGHT have to wait for KW in the mod shop in my area. And when installing the spring , do they have to take out my back seat ? Saw some posts mentioned about it , or was it only needed if the car comes with some special option? Thanks Last edited by SMTMAA; 07-15-2011 at 12:15 PM.. |

Welcome.
H&R sport spring for 523 and 528 is suitable for both model, there is no difference. In the website they refer to the US models and no 523 there, that's why. If you want to save a few bucks, get the springs. Otherwise get the coilovers, better stance and performance. I have H&R but still found it a little bit high to my taste. No necessary to take out the back seat. Tell the mechanic to access the rear suspensions through the rear speakers. Hope I answered all your queries.

Thank you RC3 .
Can you tell me , why do they need to access from the speaker ? Is that necessary ? The less they take apart my car the better. Read some post about bad mechanics. |

Can't access the rear suspensions from outside. Only way man. When I did mine they took away the back seats. So you are lucky to know now already.

I would like KWV3 too but considering the cost and warranty I will prolly better stick with spring only. Easier to assemble the spring back then the whole suspension.
The reason I am double checking on the mounting because the shop told me it would only take 1 hr for the job. But I doubt it if they need to take off my back speaker out. So maybe they are not the shop for the job. |
