Totaled my '16 F10 the Sunday before Thanksgiving

So I was taking a couple of friends down to the airport on Sun morning, so they could catch their flight home. We'd been having heavy rain and there was a lot of standing water on the road, and it was drizzling at the time.
I'm traveling Southbound on the hwy in the left most lane. Came up a slight incline and felt the car get squirrely. I let off the gas and had my foot hovering over the brake as I coasted down the decline, doing around 57ish mph. Car all of a sudden shot to the left, hitting my driver's front into the concrete barrier, facing East. I ricocheted backward across all 4 lanes of traffic, and was hit in the driver's rear by another car trying to swerve to their right, towards the shoulder, to avoid me. This turned me to be facing North, while everyone else was traveling south.
Fortunately, neither of my passengers in the backseat were hurt, nor the other 2 cars involved. No airbags deployed & no injuries. Big time counting my blessings, as I was picking up my family from the airport 2 days later for Thanksgiving.

So I'm unfortunately shopping for a car in today's sh*t market. Looking for a little F30 6spd to get me by for the time being. I'll eventually have a VFSF Catless downpipe for sale (4.0") that I never got to install, as well as the Ebay Strut Tower Brace.

Finally got this crappy app to work.

Glass in both headlights shattered, frame damage on front & rear, trunk won't close. All surround cameras busted. Just still so happy no one was hurt.

Is insurance taking the car, or are they gonna let you part it out?

Yeah insurance already took it. The only thing I pulled off was the strut bar brace. The cf spoiler was scratched up. Sadly interior was fully intact. Would have loved to part that out, but it is what it is

If they already took it that sucks but for future knowledge when they contact you with your offer you always counter offer but you can ask them for both the offer with you keeping the salvage (your car) and the offer with them taking the car.
But if you owe on a lien you would have to pay your lien before that option would be available to you.

The wheels were curb-rashed to shit & I think one was slightly bent.

I did have a small lien left on it, but I was ok with letting it go overall. I don't have the time to part out the car.

Wife & I just finished major home renos & I'm about to leave the W-2 to go work full-time as a realtor, so I needed the pay-out to start looking for another car.

It is what it is, but ya'll keep looking on Ebay in the next few months for parts. If anyone wants the VIN to try to track it down, just DM me.

I believe they were BF Goodrich. We'd had tons of rain in the last day and there was a lot of standing water & running water down the decline I was coming down.

Yeah both those trucks in the background locked up and smacked their trailers together. Fortunately they didn't touch anyone at all, and there were no injuries. Still counting my blessings.
