You need to be more open minded to the demographic they're targeting. It is an X2 after all, not an X5MC !
Indeed, I always ignored this half of the population! I had exactly the same gripe about this "stupid" design. Now I finally understand, tx!

At the expense of having hidden storage in the center console? There’s good reason why nearly every vehicle has a center console with hidden storage. Consumers value it.

I like the back better than the X4M. It’s got a nice roof line overall. Promising.

Why is it the x2 m35i gets a DCT, but the full M cars get a zf8 AT!?

Because transversal DCT are for fuel savings.

Just another generic fluf bucket to fill the lineup. I’m sure it will sell but it’s another soulless model with their recent questionable designs.

Not bad stylistically, I think they will sell faster than they can make them.
BMW should just get rid of the M badge though, they put it on everything.

Haven't other manufacturers already gone through this exercise and figured out drivers like dedicated controls for commonly used functions? At least it doesn't have a split headlight design.
Yep, terrible design, especially for something like heated/cooled seats. Those should be tactile buttons, IMHO, but instead they use touch sliders here. Awful and dangerous. 👎

The X2 is the last release for BMW this year.
Could anyone tell me what BMW would release in 2024?
It seems that all BMW series has got either a new generation or face-lift.
The oldest one is now the 3 series, which will be released in 2025 with the Neue Klass.
Probably the 2 Series Gran Coupe?
Any upcoming performance car or a new series? Like the 6 Series, X8, or M1?!
Any idea?

Shows us where BMW puts its priorities.

X2 gets 11 colors. M2 gets 5.

I think the new X1 M35 looks better - I had high hopes for thr X2 variant, but it’s too angular or something….maybe it will look better in the flesh.

The tires also look comically thin, from a width standpoint. Wish they’d put some properly wide tires on these M models.

This is going to be one of their bread and butter vehicles, that's why.
