Vehicle: F10 CIC, 6FL, but no 6NR originally. Also very late version of i-step (whole car was upgraded a few months ago)


Finally got to building and coding the options I've always wanted to do, via Shawn, Tokenmaster, and everyone else's most excellent work in this space.


Having done the physical bit of swapping over and wiring in 6NR USB Mini AV port in the centre console including FBAS wires to the back of the CIC, went to code it, (specifically I think it was changing the Combox USB audio from digital to analog), heard the BING, saw a brief message in the iDrive screen saying it now needed an upgrade, and visit a BMW service centre.

Post that, low and behold, I've noticed ConnectedDrive menu option gone, replaced with a foreign-to-me BMW Services menu option. I've not been back out to the car, but I assume changing the Combox option back again isn't going to restore ConnectedDrive, as it's now locked itself down awaiting a 6NR FSC code?

I should add, I wasn't actually looking for the Apps side of things, was just looking to get the second FBAS video input working.

Any advice appreciated!
