Congratulations Donser! It was a long time waiting. Take as many pics as you can and show us the best.

Oh, by the way, no new MFD instrument panel and no new Msport key fob for those who were hoping like me. |

I decided to go with the Aluminum Hexagon trim which is suppose to be exclusive to the MSport package. I had my doubts when I ordered my vehicle since I didn't have a chance to see it in person. I'm glad I did. I like how it's not glossy/shiny. Dust, dirt, and finger prints are not as visible. I wish I can say the same for my exterior paint color.

Wow... He hammered the hell out of that 4 banger. Wish there were streets here that can go 220 kph without my car taken away from me if I get caught. Very nice!

Donser, is that Moccha Nappa leather?
Gow does it feel to touch? The current pre-2014 nappas are terrible in my opinion. Feel like overdone, too smooth and no texture -- sticky to touch and rubber feel. They age ugly and have something like oily spots (I can see that on 7ers at the dealerships). Merino individual is muh more natural, realistic with very refined texture. On that 520i video it looks like Moccha nappa but on the closeup it has a texture like Dakota (heavy texture, strong, durable). So I am confused. Can you post a closeup photo of your 2014 Moccha nappa please? Maybe they updated the leather finish. What is your take on it? Thanks! |

I took crappy pictures. I actually went with the black interior so I have Dakota Leather but with the active ventilated seats option. I have the perforated holes on the middle sections of the seats. Soft to the touch but not over done. The new "exclusive stitching" gives them a little character.
I'll post some pics on Tuesday when I get back. I'm currently out of town and the car is sitting in the garage at home since Saturday. I only got to put 70 miles on it since picking it up on Friday afternoon. Quote:

Yes, the car has the alarm system. I believe it's standard equipment here in NA. I makes the beep sound and flashing lights when armed and disarmed.

Shipping from port to port is approximately 10 days to the east coast. West coast is another 10 days if I recall the schedules correctly. I order my vehicle June 1, production started on the first week of July, and took delivery last Friday. So from production to delivery, it took 42 days.
Has your vehicle gone into production or do you have a production scheduled? You can track it with a production number. Ask your dealer. |

That is crap... I've been reading the other treads. You can always replace the whole unit with aftermarket or buy the active LED or the preLCI until from BMW. I'm sure they're just plug and play.

My production completed on 8/5 and as of today 8/13 it is still sitting at the port awaiting a shipping vessel. Anyone else in the same boat (no pun intended) as me?
How long does it typically take to get to the port in NY/NJ once it leaves Germany? Alan
