Bluetooth problem

Making phone calls from my 9-month old 520D SE using the car's standard Bluetooth has recently started to fail to work.
The car and my mobile connect normally with each other when I start the car, but when I make a Bluetooth call the screen behaves normally but I do not hear the usual dialling tone, nor do I hear the person called answer; after about 20 seconds the "call ended" message comes up and the screen returns to the menu. The person called receives the call in the normal way and can hear me speaking but I cannot hear them.
Any ideas to solve this problem?

If it is only 9 months old then pop in to see one of the BMW ‘genius’ guys at the dealer as they should be able to look at your settings. If they are ok then they can book it in.
