Sport Mode

Hi guys,

I took delivery of my new 520d M Sport and I am seriously impressed.

What I am trying to understand is what sport mode actually does when you select engine and chassis? Does anyone know what is changed?

Thanks

What options do you have? As it does make a difference to what changes.

Hmm.. mine has ECO PRO, Comfort and SPORT. I believe the difference between SPORT and SPORT+ is that the latter is SPORT with traction control off.

I just notice a change in engine responsiveness and gear ratio. In SPORT the auto tends to hold the gears for longer before changing. ECO PRO just sucks all the power but the trade off is getting over 1,000km from a tank around town!

As you have the SAT option you will get throttle, steering and transmission adaption on the toggle switch, if both chassis and drivetrain options are ticked in the settings menu in iDrive.
