N63TU Abnormally high IAT
Hi all,
Running 2014 550i N63TU. Bootmod3 Stage 2 tune, catless stock DP, M5 comp exhaust. New Bosch OEM plugs gapped to .021. Engine has been pulling power due on full throttle due to high IAT. Getting a bit of knock also. On most runs peak IAT is 156-160F with 93F ambient temp. I ran it both with ARM intake and OEM intake with similar results. Anyone have ideas what could be causing high IAT? No codes. Next step is probably spraying meth but if there is an issue I'd like to correct it. Pic of car and tab-delimited log (for excel import since i can't upload a .csv) attached. Thanks, Ian

If the IAT is only climbing when you are idling then it is ok.
If the IAT does not get within 10-15F of ambient when you are WOT, then you probably should get a new IAT sensor (I think it is part of the MAF on these cars). |
