I own a 100,000km 550i lci 2014 N63tu F10. It started misfiring when I floored it and put me in limp mode at 150kmh once, found out there was a misfire in cylinder 3. Needs coils or plugs (hopefully).

Getting the car looked at soon but I took it to a BMW nerds house and he instantly told me he could hear it misfiring on idle as it was parked outside his house (which I was unable to detect, I thought it was only misfiring when I floored it at a certain rev range). I can't hear the misfire at all and don't know what im meant to be listening for.

Does anyone have a video or description of what a good idle sounds like and the same for a bad one which is misfiring?

(yes I am driving it very lightly or not at all while this is occurring)

Anyway, I just want to know what the sound im looking for is.
