Gold wheels looks good with the caliper match, I going black wheels with blue calipers.
I used the leftover shadowline trim kit i used on the windows frames for the reflectors.

New to me 2012 550i

Picked up a 2012 550i with 65k miles and an extended warranty. So far I have coded some things (Fog lights on at welcome, turn signals on HUD, music on HUD, tire pressure and temp, DVD in motion), also have a BMS Stage 1 to install and I am currently updating the maps on GPS. I need to do a paint correction once the weather clears up a little bit.

Front brakes and painting....

Rotors - StopTech
Pads - OEM BMW
Sensor - OEM BMW
Dust Shield - VHT Primer, VHT Satin Black
Calipers - VHT Primer, VHT Titanium Silver Blue, VHT Clear
Rotor Set Screw - ECS Stainless

Lotsa hours prepping for paint. Tedious work. Very content with results. Will do rears in near future.

I was inspired by Member Tallest to paint in a light blue. Not an exact match to his; however, satisfied with subtle look.

Damn! need to get a trickle charger or something since my car is hibernating. went to start it and it barely cranked but it fired up. got a message about some electrical components will be turned off. anyone have recommendations for a charger since it's going to sit for another 2 months?

I got the BMW branded 4amp charger for something like $75 from the dealer. Just make sure you get an AGM compatible charger/maintainer. I've used a Deltran Battery Tender, but at 3amps it takes quite a while to recharge the battery. It's not that much less expensive than the BMW branded tender which is why I went BMW.

15 degrees outside so I washed it inside the garage, also installed the front plate without drilling holes in the bumper.

so bro, do you just plug it in and forget about it? and i'm assuming I can plug it in the hood area or would I need to plug it from the trunk?

Yup. I attached the pig-tails to the under-hood battery connections. I can then hook the car up any time I choose and leave it that way. Our trip last September I left my wife's car plugged-in for over 2 weeks. The beauty of the tender is you can leave it plugged-in indefinitely as it will charge the battery and then float the charge as needed.

I used a rechargeable camp shower/hose in a 5 gallon bucket, it kept the water from going anywhere but on the car and to the garage floor.
