285 Rear Tire on stock 351M rim?

Will it fit? I want to get a tad beefier on the rear but don't want to mess anything up. If it will fit, can I still throw an 18MM spacer on the rear and not rub? I'm not lowered nor do I plan on lowering it.

275 is the maximum tire width recommended for 9" wheels!

I ran a 285 tire on stock 351 with no problems. Looked great. I had a 12mm spacer and no rubbing.

Didn't that look bulky?

If you go down a size on the side wall its almost unnoticeable and should handle the same

Nope. 351M handles a 285 perfectly.

The 351M are 19", so I assume 285/35/19.

Don't do it

I think the 275/35R19 looks too big with the OEM Goodyear RF on the 19x9 wheel. So the 285 must look bad and you won't get the benefit of the wider tire because the wheel 9" wheel won't stretch out a 285 like a 9.5 or 10 will.
