Looking good. I have the same colour car and gold caliper paint ready to go on. Do you have any pics with the caliper said painted on your old wheels?

It's pretty easy.... Prep is EVERYTHING!!!!

Clean everything well with brake cleaner.

Mask off everything you don't want painted.

Paint away!! I used some small foam brushes I got from Home Depot. Thay're only good for 1 coat. When I painted the calipers on my Lincoln LS I first got out Mr. Dremel and ground down all the casting marks on the caliper. It looked really clean. Were to paint the calipers on my BMW's I would do the same.

yup! that's why i didn't make a DIY for this project since it's pretty straight forward. i did think about using the foam brush but i had already mixed the paint reactor and once it's mixed you're on a time limit. the bristle brush wasn't too bad to use

Painted Calipers

I painted mine gray. I didn't want anything too flashy and wanted a color that didn't contrast with brake dust. So far I like the factory look.

I think both posted in here are honestly too washed out together. Just my opinion. I'm not sure why you would paint your already grey calipers a darker shade of grey...

How long did it take you guys to paint your calipers? Did you end up removing them from the rotors or painting in place?

Washed out? That makes no sense since this looks better than rust!

This only took me a day and I did not have to remove them

it's a brush application. the kit includes high-performance aerosol caliper cleaner, 3 1/2 liquid oz. of paint and 1/2 liquid oz. of reactor which is enough to cover 4 calipers or 2 calipers and 2 rear drums.

if you want to use a spray can method VHT, Duplicolor and Rustoleum offers a caliper paint but I used this method before and It doesn't last as long as the paint started to fade, turn darker and eventually flaked off. whereas the G2 is almost like automotive paint and looks like enamel after it's dry. I've had this done back in Aug 17' and do this date no fading, chipping or cracking. still looks like the day I first used it highly recommend it

Sure it looks better than rust. Do you not know what washed out means? To me the colors look almost the same and IMO, with wheels like yours with wide open angles, having a different color of caliper makes the wheels pop alot more.

The dust plates were painted matte black? If so, did you remove the rotors?
