Injector Testing in ISTA+ for N63tu

Can someone please tell me how to call up an Injector Diagnostic test plan within ISTA+ without a current fault code to work off of? Closest I could find was "Engine Malfunction" test, but that just stated to check the air filter and perform vacuum testing and concluded the testing.

I'm trying to track down why bank 1 is running rich. LTFT is -19%, bank 2 is normal. I've tried swapping MAF sensors, plugs, and coils, the problem stays in bank 1. O2 sensors appear to be working properly. fully stock 2014 550ix.

TIA!

Boost leak post MAF on bank1? Do a leak down test on the intake to rule out air leaks.

Typically if you have a leaking injector fuel will be on the plug. I believe 2014's have an extended injector warranty. Dealer might be the place.

Those are all really good points. The plugs were dry and looked normal when I pulled them. It would make sense that a post MAF boost leak could cause a rich condition. I'll test and report back. I'll check compression as well just to eliminate it as a possibility.

Thank you

Update: Found a good size leak on the intake gasket at the turbo inlet. I'll be replacing both banks in the next couple of days. I can't really test the charged side of the turbo until they get replaced. I'll keep you posted.

Are there common places for boost leaks on the N63tu? Everything seemed good so far in spite of the leaking intake gaskets...

Had this thrown any CELs/Drive Train Malfunctions for you or were you just diagnosing a performance issue?

No CEL's or drivetrain malfunctions. I've been experiencing poor idle, delayed power response, and shuddering when coming to a stop. I just noticed the high negative LTFT on bank 1 at idle which led me to looking for possible rich conditions. Tonight or tomorrow I should be able to confirm if I have any boost leaks.

Thanks for the info. I've been seeing some of the same conditions, part throttle pulls harder than WOT and power off idle is slow to build. Also seems to be running rich. I need to start chasing this down.

After replacing the turbo inlet gaskets, power off idle and WOT are vastly improved. Idle is still not great and my LTFT on bank 1 is still around -20. I could not localize a charge leak on bank 1, but I also could not build any pressure. That could be user error though if there is a connection bleeding off somewhere. I also did not plug the exhaust side or anything so could be blowing by the cylinders??? I still need to test compression and smoke test. I'm checking to see if INPA files are available for the N63tu just to see if it paints a clearer picture of what's going on. Certainly not ruling out injectors yet either...
