BMW Hong Kong 535i price increase
Guys,
Just noticed that BMWHK just raised base price of 535i to HKD738K. No change for 550i (yet). Any change in standard options for 535i?

Guys, BMW Hong Kong has finalized some price increase. Looks like the 7 Series will see a HKD 4-5K increase from 2010 across the board. F10 prices have not been finalized but if the 7 Series increase is any guide, not looking at much increase for 2011.....
However, I have also heard from a source inside BMW saying they are looking at a list price of 2011 550i at HKD998,000 (HKD10K increase)....... So who knows. But one thing is confirmed. No change in list of standard equipments for HK specifications......

i felt the handling is much much better and the whole car seem to be more responsive. the kind of "wallow" ride is gone and is now much closer to the bmw i am familiar with (had an e90 before this). dont get me wrong, it is still a sufficiently comfortable car, just that its more responsive. the ride drop is just perfect for me, which is just a bit lower than stock and not like the aggressive ones (such as H&R and Hamman) whereby they look like king kong is sitting in the car. the other pleasant surprise was the final bill. if you remember, i mentioned before that it cost about 4K+. Well it actually cost me only 2K+. all in all, a well worth upgrade in my opinion. Will take some pictures and try to upload them over the weekend |

Thanks for the update. I've been thinking of doing this as well after my 6 month wait is over. Can u comment on the ride? Is it much bumpier than previous? Is the 2 k for labour only ? How much for the springs?

about how much drop you got with your AC springs. it would be great if you can post the before and after photos. I suppose the AC springs cost you $2k+ and 2k+ for the labor? and the warranty still stands, right? thanks for your update, ksquare |

chiver/rc3,
thats right. springs cost 2+K after 20% discount (you will need to check with bmw if the discount is still available) and labour another 2+K. i feel the ride is a bit stiffer which i believe explains for the better handling, but certainly well within what i deem comfortable (and this is with my 20" rims). i prefer this to the more flexible stock spring which gives you a bigger "wave" effect (i hope you understand) when you go through bumps. another point i found out for those considering changing both the shocks and springs altogether. the service advisor told me that if i were to change the shocks as well, it will need to be inspected and approved by the road and transport authority before you can drive on the road again. if you dont get it inspected, it is deemed an illegal modification. however, if its for springs only, no need for inspection. |

Merry Christmas, everyone.
Drive safely with your babies. I have nothing to drive over the holiday, sold my E46 and will get my F10 after new year. |

Here it is, the pictures. apologies for the quality of the pics. not good at taking pics and using different cameras.
transformation from stock to rims change to suspension change. as you can see, the drop is moderate, i measured about 1 inch drop. |
