Had a quick question,

I recently purchased a set of used 351m wheels from CL. Oddly after I purchased I looked behind the wheels and they were all 8.5x19 with the same tires all around size 245/35/19. After doing research I noticed that the rears should be 9x19 and the front should be 8.5x19.

Is it safe to have the same tire size all around along with 8.5x19 wheel width? Did I get screwed?

LCI non-xDrive MSports did have the staggered setup as an option, but having a square setup is not a real problem.

Two things.

First - 4 x 8.5x19" 351M wheels are stock on MSport F10s, including non xDrive in the early F10 years. No problems there. They came with a 'square' setup from the factory. LCI MSport F10s did have a staggered setup as an option, but having a square setup is not a real problem.

Second - your tires sizes are wrong. Someone in the past has screwed them up. Stock tire size for the 8.5x19" 351M is 245/40/19. My xDrive came with that as standard equipment from the factory (wheels and tires as I've mentioned).

Thanks for the response. Makes me feel so much better.

So what happens if I dont change these tires and leave them?

It depends on where and how you drive. The '35' vice '40' means you have a thinner sidewall (by 13%), so on rough roads you have the real possibility of damaging a wheel. Those with 20" and 21" wheels face the same problem because their sidewalls are thinner too. The second thing is that your overall diameter is smaller than stock by 4%, so your speedometer will read 4% higher than stock, which is already higher than reality. It will also probably affect your odometer and you will rack up the miles just a little quicker.

Here is a wheel / tire calculator that helps show the differences.
