DIY: M-Sport Conversion
Just picked up a '11 550i with 2900 miles private-party (no sales tax in AZ) and am considering doing a m-sport bumper conversion. Has anyone attempted this and compiled the required parts list? It looks like there is some re-use of airducts, etc from a quick glance at realoem.com but am interested in understanding the complexity of the upgrade?

Did either of you actually do the conversion? I just ordered all the parts, but can't find instructions to give to the shop. Hopefully they can figure it out, and hopefully I'm not missing anything.

Did the conversion to m sport in the front, sides, and interior parts. Kept the rear bumper stock but swapped in a mod diffuser. Put in black grills in front, blacked out all reflectors and painted the chrome to black on the fender light trim. Dinan upgrades are being installed today and tomorrow and new bbs rims go on Thursday. I'm praying for good weather to drive this weekend!!!

Picked it up today. The sound is ridiculous and it's so tight. Wheels go on tomorrow and putting on a Hamann-"style" (don't want to misrepresent) rear diffuser on Friday. Will take some pics and post when it's done.

I bought the kit from Tischer. It was by far the cheapest I found anywhere, and they know all the parts needed. It's over 20 parts, just for the front and sides (I didn't do the rear). I don't have the numbers.

That's an amazing project. I've been wondering about the Tischer kit, so everything came as a package? Did you have to purchase anything else outside of the kit? If so, I'm definitely going the Tischer route...when the time comes...

Yes - everything was perfect. Contact Evan Winstead at Tischer. He was extremely helpful. The only thing I wish I had done was delete the reflectors from the package. I bought the painted reflectors from JBSPEED so now I've got extras. Other than that, there were no missing or extra parts included. I'll be posting pictures as soon as my wheels are mounted.

So I finally had a chance to get the car detailed. Here's what I did so far:
Interior - M-sport steering wheel trim, M-sport 6mt shifter knob, M-sport foot rest, carbon/black BMW wheel emblem Dinan - suspension, exhaust, and stage 3 software Rims - BBS 20" CH-R titanium Exterior - front M-sport bumper kit, M-sport side skirts, blacked out grills, painted fender trim black, blacked out bumper reflectors, carbon/black BMW emblems, painted chrome door handle trim black I think that's it. I just ordered the rear M-sport bumper kit and the new M5 rear diffuser. Was waiting on the rear kit until I could source that diffuser. Will update pics once that is installed. Thanks to everyone for your assistance, parts, and feedback. Front End.pdf Front Driver.pdf Front End.pdf Front Driver.pdf Rear Driver.pdf Side.pdf Interior.pdf

It appears so. I held the old one up to the one on the new bumper, and they seem to be exactly the same.
