Engine won't turn on

Good evening,

I have a problem with a 2016 BMW F11 530xd that has theft damage.

It was constantly in drive when turning the ignition on with no luck setting it in neutral without doing it mechanically. I of course did it mechanically so it’s in neutral now but when I try to start it, the engine only cranks and it won’t turn on.

Does anyone have a clue where to begin?

STEP 1- Read codes to know what the car thinks is wrong. This will give a place to start with

STEP 2- Refer back to step 1 lol.

just kidding, lol. In all seriousness, it's kind of impossible to help you remotely. Any ideas people throw at you will be pure guesses. Too many variables involved with the situation you are having. You need to pull the codes and the car will tell you what's going on.

Should’ve thought of that earlier, my bad.
Here is the code that pops up, it reads:

Electronic immobilizer: response received is not authentic

I thought this was a problem with the keyless entry, because that was ripped out as well.

All the cables have been cut through as well.

I only have a picture of the center console as of right now. If it is of any importance I will upload other images of the cables.
