M Performance Package Question

Hi ,

I posted the following in another thread that may now get wide spread viewership, so I thought I would create another thread with my questions.

I have an appointment to go see this car in a couplE of hours and am looking for some feeback to help in my decisions.

Thanks

Hello to "All"

I am about to move into my third F10, First one was a 2011 rear wheel drive, second and current one is a 2012 XDrive with MSport Package on which my lease ends in November and BMW is offering me an early termination to get me into a new car now.

One of the cars I am considering is equipped with the M Performance Package which here in Canada includes 20" Wheels, Nappa Leather and the Performance Package. I really have not paid much attention in the past to the M Performace package and I cannot seem to find much details on the net , this has all come about very fast and I am going to see the car today, Carbon Black/Black. 535XI

Can some of you guys give me a rundown on the tuning aspects of this package, I have read that their is an increased horsepower and that the suspension is slightly lower than regular 535Xdrive . How does the car handle with 20" wheels? I have an extra set of 351's 19" which I use for the winter and which I would like to continue to use on my new car, will this be possible with a lower suspension? Sorry If I sound dumb, but I was all set to get a 2015 in the same configuration that I already have, this new twist came up on Friday and the cost is only $ 30.00 a month more and I like the idea of the Nappa Leather and the 20" wheels, just want to make sure this car is for me .

Also with the increased horespower, how does this effect fuel consumption.

I would appreciate any comments . Thanks

Are you sure it has the MPerformance Power Kit? My understanding from my Parts guy is that the increased power is only available in Europe and China right now.

I assume it's the same performance power kit as the F15 X5 35i has.
Alan says good thinks about it in his thread.

Cool.
Dinan tested MPPK on an N55 in their high tech shop and found BMW's stated numbers to be conservative. The Dinan test showed 327hp 355 foot pounds of torque, which is decent given their more conservative drivetrain loss calculations. There's a video on YouTube. Search "Dinan MPPK"

BMW Dealers are making it very easy to end leases early and get into a new car without penalties , lots of incentives and very low interest rates on the leases (1.15%), so it is either upgrade to a current model year or in my case have to pay excess mileage charges if I go the duration of the lease and operate the vehicle for the next 5 months without a warranty as mine has run out.

And truthfully there is just not any other comparably priced vehicles that excite me as much as the 5 series, I test drove an A6 and just didn't find it as enjoyable to drive
as the BMW.
