Looking to Mod my BMW

I have bought F10 528i xDrive about a couple weeks ago and it's my first car, I have already taken car of the all maintenance. So now I want to mod my car but I'm still new to this, a couple of easy mods I already have on the way are tinting my windows, rear spoiler and a gloss black kidney grill. But when it comes to looking for exhaust I'm still new, I'm looking to make my car sound more aggressive, while also providing so horsepower/torque gains (even if not much). Not sure if I should get a new exhaust system, or downpipe or switch my exhaust to a quad exhaust. I know the N20 engine isn't the best for modding a car but I think it's a great first car to help learn from.

+1 The "usual" list is typically find out the appropriate items for YOUR car based upon the engine parameters. There are many vendors on this site than can provide a simple list but my two cents are:

1) Tune (Jb4, *BM3 (fav), Cobb, MHD) - understand these and their capabilities for your car. RESEARCH!!

2) Charge Pipe - definitely!
3) Cold air intake - adds a little power
4) Exhaust - endless options. Borla, Corsa, M-Performance, etc.
5) Down pipe- adds more power/increases exhaust note/sound.
6) Intercooler- if you plan on tracking or going above daily driving
7) Suspension - coilovers, springs(lowering), etc. Endless...

8) Wheels/Tires - important! matching up with suspension...

This is just a start for your basic Stage 1 set up. Running pump gas 91/93.

Stage 2 is adding fuel additives , bigger Turbo(s), E85 (Fuel pump upgrades)

Good luck and ask 100 questions. Goal, plan, start building and keep asking questions.

Is this in order of priority? If so, CAI is way too high on the list unless you're going for a ram air intake. If you're going for one of those OEM replacement ones, I'd put it dead last, since the amount of HP it gives you is so small you'd never notice it at all. It's primarily to make induction noises louder.
