For those with dp's and getting CEL's what are the fixes for this? Would like to get whatever is needed before I install the VRSF catless DP thanks!

I'm installing one on my 535i this week also , would love to here what people use also, I've heard of people using bootmod3, mhd to auto delete cel, or a o2 de fouler.

How do you plan on passing smog? Reinstall the factory down-pipe?

All you need is a o2 bung extender aka defouler that will fix your issue. I have VRSF DP with it and no problems. To pass the smog test you have to make sure if you using MHD to check the Catted dp option otherwise o2 monitoring is completely turned off by default. Which means that it will always show system not ready.

ha, I did it way more complicated than a simple defouler because in my experience (with other cars) that didn't work.

I bought it off someone and it came with it so I don't know.

I have a JB4 for sale that does not have a update on it so it wont throw a CEL for catless DP

If you are running MHD than it automatically disables the cat check, so no cel but also means you will fail emission. You have to select the "OEM/Catted DP's" option to enable cat check. If you are JB4 than auto clear might be doing its job. I don't know how BM3 works, but might be similar to MHD or coded out in tune to show always ready.

My car has no tune or piggy back on it , I'm catless, intake and charge pipe . Haven't gotten a cel . Maybe I will but it's been a few weeks

Interesting you haven't got a CEL as most guys who have posted have gotten the CEL. maybe you're lucky? I still have yet installed the DP as I'm still researching which defouler to order or use. Anyone have any suggestions? I'm stuck lol!

Just do it lol, it's a noticeable difference and sounds great
