Giro Aether. It's light (a plus) and aero (a plus, but more of a benefit for people faster than me) but most importantly, it's so well ventilated. It just pours air over my head, which is huge for comfort and basically prevents sweat from dripping on my face. Would highly recommend

I am very well aware of this "trivia." because that's exactly what it is.

I've own BMW and Schubert helmets exclusively. My current BMW System 6 and C3 were actually black listed in the USA because the company refused to pay the very expensive SNELL license. The helmets exceeded the very strict German TÜV testing and was accepted in every other country. I can't remember the last time a sticker protected my head...

Apologies for the Cycling thread hijack.

I had a BMW clamshell helmet in the early 90's. It did its job when I had a crash. Big scars on the helmet that would have been on my head. I don't remember why I didn't get another one (cost maybe), but I ended up replacing it with a Shoei helmet.

Got all the bike gear ready yesterday in one place for a ride about 10'ish and open the curtains to see it bucketing down. There's a break due around 14.00 otherwise I'll venture out for a 3 mile walk in some waterproofs.

Getting colder in my corner of the world and therefore cycling is looking like it will be exchanged for gym/pool time for a few months...

Still feeling some stiffness in my right deltoid from a nasty impingement or subacromial bursitis flare last pool season. I think weight/machines in the gym for a while will be a way to strengthen and test it.

Would appreciate any tips on rehabbing bursitis. I hammered it with NSAIDs earlier this year and am now almost total tapered off of them. Daily movements are fine, however full overhead extension brings some stiffness.

I should get out and ride. It's sunny, but it's low 50's and very windy, 18-25MPH. Might just knock out a ride on the trainer.

UPDATE: I opted for a full tilt boogie ride on the trainer. Probably 9/10ths effort for most of the ride.

Was quite windy yesterday (scattered our garden chairs around).
Got 15 miles in today which is a lot for me, wind has died down and a pleasant sunny 14c.

Just finished cleaning the pain cave floor and putting stuff back in. Concept2 rower and my Trek 1.1 on the Wahoo KickR and Inside Ride E-Flex. Wifey's Nordic Track will go to the right of my bike eventually. Big TV is for Fulgaz. Smaller one is for baseball or movies and music vids when Wifey is there. Time to transition to indoor riding for the most part.

Perfect fall weekend for riding here. Put in 100 miles between Saturday and Sunday's rides, and made a new friend yesterday.

I don't like strong winds also, it saps your strength and after you get back it feels like you have done double the distance and got nowhere.

It'd be a very sweet tail wind if you only had to go in one direction. But coming back would be hell. And forget being perpendicular to it.

SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT
ISSUED: 10:17 AM NOV. 14, 2021 – NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE
...Gusty winds between 35-45 mph today...

West to northwest winds behind a cold front, will gust to around
40 mph through mid afternoon. A few gusts near 45 mph are
possible.

Gusty winds will be capable of blowing around unsecured outdoor
objects and small tree limbs. Use caution if traveling in a high
profile vehicle, especially on north to south roadways.
I guess I'll be riding inside again today.

Did a 32 miler yesterday. It had been too cool, and too many meetings, since last Sunday. It was extremely windy but good to be out. Flat light and very overcast so not much to take pictures of.
