Enjoying it this way for a couple of days before I have to put back the front license plate holder Damn you Virginia.

Tow hook plate holder not an option?

Thought about that, but I'd still have the two holes in the bumper where the original holder goes. Totally slipped my mind when I asked them to patch the holes at the bottom of the bumper to do those as well.

looks super clean, how is the lip attached to the bumper...looks like you had them mount it and then mold it in...?

i have a lip i'm putting on next week in gloss black.

however my front bumper could use a refinish, so i may look into having it refinished and the lip sprayed, and molded to the front bumper for that clean look...

It's actually just attached with 3M tape in the front along the bumper and I have 4 holes drilled in the bottom to secure it with the same BMW plastic push-in rivets that are used on the rear diffuser. It looks super clean (and stock).

My concern with having it molded is always gonna come down to the fact that all lips, regardless of how careful you are, will eventually get scraped or dinged. It's much easier to unmount just the lip and have it refinished.

But yeah getting your bumper refinished is like looking at a new car - definitely recommend it if you can spare the $$$.

I forget who makes them, but there's a company that makes paint matched plugs that go into the holes. Not as clean or flat as not having the holes to begin with, but beats having exposed holes.

Finally able to find the time to do see upgrades on my 5. First off I got an Mtech kit with a CF diffuser, front lip, and trunk lip. Next I installed an Armytrix exhaust with an AR design catted DP, H&R sway bars, and an FTP CP.

Before the recent install, I had my 5 lowered on ST coilovers, 20" wheels, and jb4.

Planning to get an IC and BM3 to run stage 2 and lastly upgrade headlights to Vision rings via Bavgruppe.

It's my first build and enjoying the journey and the drive.

spielnicht I think the company is BumperPlugs (bumperplugs dot com).

IIRC there is no high-flow DP that is CARB compliant on the market.

Added a trunk lip spoiler wrapped in gloss black vinyl, had the chrome strip on the door handles wrapped with the same gloss black vinyl, and then replaced the chrome fender turn signals with gloss black ones. I also replaced the license plate lights with some brighter ones, and also replaced the reverse light bulbs with some bright LED's.

I just received all the replacement LED bulbs for the interior of the vehicle, so I will be tackling that this weekend.

Front CV axle and differential fluid. The boot was pinched about 40K miles ago. I knew it will go bad at anytime. I inspect it at every oil service and it finally started to spray grease around the wheel a little so here we are. Not bad for 267K miles on original axle. Replacing just the boot is a cheaper solution but it takes about the same amount of time and is more messy so I opt for a new one due to high miles.

They are 3/4" heater hose. Only cost about $1 per foot and super easy to change in the future. I am going to monitor them and see if they start degrading or anything. May possibly replace with something more permanent if they dont hold up long term.

Are those oil resistant? The PCV system gets a bit oily sometimes, the first rubber hose I tried for my N55 started to get a bit nasty due to lack of oil resistance.

According to Goodyear, they are supposed to handle oil and water vapor.

I imagine,I will have to change them from time to time, but it's super easy to do with hose clamps and costs nothing.

What did you end up using that worked better?

I used a nitrile rubber hose, original one I used was some natural rubber crap.
