Something looks burnt under oil cap

As title says...I was looking under the oil cap and saw something that looked burnt. Please see pictures.

Attached better pictures. No sludge on oil cap or anywhere that I could see from naked eye.

Definitely carbon build up. If I saw that I'd tear the valve cover off and check the rest of the top end for problems. 57K miles on my N55 and that ledge is totally clean.

Service history was kinda sketchy after the second owner. Indy did a engine flush as he recommended it when I first bought it. Car drives fine, no other reasons to indicate neglect.

How much was the engine flush and do you think it was worth it?
