Spark Plug Question N55 Plug #5/ #6
Can anyone help me with some pointers in how to get to the third screw in the back when removing the tubes above spark plug #5 #6? Even forcefully moving the tubes, I still can't fit a torx driver in there.

Put socket into screw, loosen screw... I find it easiest to go under the harness and lift them up and wedge your socket in there. Or a socket and swivel.

You have to remove the two plugs, the cables run in plastic channel which have two screws on the right, also the air intake. After remove the protective foam then you will have access to those two screws. You will need an angle drive because the space is tight. I just changed mine a few weeks ago.

Just did plugs yesterday. Memory still pretty fresh! Yes you'll need a universal joint.
My third screw was stripped so my T25 couldn't grab a hold of anything. You may be finding the same. I looked at the screw from the front of the engine toward the back with my view going under the cables and had to use channel locks as luckily the knucklehead before just gave up on getting that screw back in. |
