Enhanced Smartphone S6NSA

I have a 530D (F11) and I am trying to confirm if a snap-in adapter will work, as I am keen to get better reception and stop calls dropping out.

I have read through all the previous threads, but I'm confused:

One thread says you need to have the Enhanced Smartphone S6NSA option for it to work. And, if I search my VIN this option is not listed, so maybe it will not work.

Another thread says that if you have the snap-in base plate adapter fitted in the centre console, it definitely will work.

Which is the correct answer?

The Snap-in should helps with the reception, I used them for most of my i phones, but currently with I phone 7 reception sucks down to the phone, this is baked up by an article recently published with results of an independent test of the latest phones from all major brands and how specifically phone calls receptions are bad and worst in newer phone, so maybe order a cradle with the option to return it if no improvement.
I am currently not using the cradle for my 7, since the call reception at home got worst after coming from 5s, hence thought if it is the phone, a snap in will not solve it or maybe it is the solution after all.
If you using iPhone 5, I can confirm the cradle helps.

Thanks, I have bought an iPhone 5 and a SIM only package that I will use when in the car.

It's a shame that shipping is cost prohibitive as I have an iPhone 5 adapter I no longer need.
