Would you say the MPG drain is similar to driving in sport?

I installed it on Saturday afternoon so I have yet to see any change in MPG, but thanks for reminding me to keep an eye on it. I don't foresee a drastic change though, if anything I suspect it would go down just a bit since I'm probably enjoying the throttle input more than I should

FYI - I'm averaging 25mpg with 70/30 hwy/city driving, not so sure where others are at though but I'm happy with it compared to my last car getting 18mpg.

Yeah I'm getting about 20mpg with 50/50 driving, always in sport.

Are you still mixing in e85? That may be throwing off your mpg numbers. My 25mpg has been on 93 oct only. I'm planning to throw in some E tonight with my fill up just for kicks with the JB4 and SB

Yeah 4-5 gallons of e85... So I think my MPG is actually pretty good don't you say?

I've only run one tank with around the same amount of E85 but that sounds pretty good to me. Maybe others who have been running it for longer could give us a better idea. I'll throw in 4 gallons tonight and see how the next tank does.

Try to be consistent with the e85 to enjoy the benefits. Meaning you'll begin to feel the full effect on the second tank. And yes it hoses your MPG

A 550 with SB also hoses your MPG. I think I was getting better MPG in my 91 Camaro with a 305 small block

I bought mine from a forum member, I wanted to save the cash and find a used v2 as I didn't need all the user adjustments available on the v3. Other place to check for a used one is ebay but it may take a little time to see another used one come up. If you want new, I believe you can get either the v2 or the v3 new directly from SB as well.

Anyone remove the extension controller chord, and just leave it in green? Wondering if that'll be clean. Somewhat worried that if they were a malfunction, wouldn't have access to it though. Green + Sport+ would be sensitive enough.

I know this is off topic but can you add e85 to your car without a tune? I also have a jb4 installed

I'm curious about this too. Not sure if/when I would need to take out the controller, but it would be good to know. My guess is it would work in the last setting it was in before it was unplugged but won't know for sure until I try it. Whether it stays set or gets turned off, it good to know it shouldn't cause any issues with the car

You can run e85 without a tune. e85 works well in high compression engines BMW or not.
