Hello! Any one know how disable/decode comfort access from F11 2014 years? Any codding information. I know you can unplug all handles, but want to do clean and full decode. Thanks.

I don’t think CA handles can be “coded” because they are physically connected electronically and communicate over a bus. Similar to soft close feature. You can’t code soft close…if you don’t want it to operate, you have to disconnect the electrical harness. Or the electric windows…if you don’t want the (front) windows to go up & down when you touch the switch, you have to disconnect the electrical harness to the switch. Probably the same for the comfort access feature…to not make it work would require disconnecting the power source.

There’s capacitive sensors built into the handle, and when those sensors are touched, the doors are either locked or unlocked.

My 2016 535Dx is in the BMW shop atm getting it’s 4th door handle replaced since I purchased it in 2020 (17k) from CarMax.
The dealer charges $666.24 to replace.
They claim it has to be programmed to the car; BS. and painted to match.

My $300 MaxCare warranty deductible will also cover the $900 a/c vent replacement (cell phone holder mishap) I’m stunned they agreed to it, and rear transmission housing bushing replacement $1600. Not a bad situation for a 9 year old (92k miles) bavarian money pit although that warranty expires at 10 years or 100k miles.
I was getting serious about selling it because of the $666.24 door handle issues but now I know I can replace these poorly executed parts quickly and for less than the deductible, already painted. Thank you.

PS - they 3rd party warranty wil not cover the $918 for removing the pieces of insulation that has desintigrated into the ac fan motor or the crappy paperlike under body panel that must be made from the same material.

Replace

These on ebay work and are real cheap. There is a youtube video on how to replace the handles. It also shows how to disassemble the handle if you want to transfer the white handle cover with whatever color your current handle cover is.
