Hello, looking at a 535i m sport . On both sides by the reflector this is black, is this normal?

Those are side view cameras in the bumper. There’s a button to activate on the console.

Ditto the answer above. Those are front side view cameras that are an option...you turn them on by pressing button #5 on the console (see pic below). They facilitate pulling out from a parking space, driveway or lane, or any blind spot to see if there's any cross traffic approaching. I actually had to use them yesterday at the grocery store. A work van that had no windows after the front doors parked next to me...I had backed-in with my hood facing forward. I couldn't see any cross traffic from the right until my front passenger window would have passed the rear of the van next to me...so I hit the side-view cam button to turn them on which gave me visible site for anything approaching from the right.
