BMW dealer said this is not coming to Canada and they will stick with the 5GT. This thing looks way better then the 5GT! Dare I say but it also looks better then the 5 series sedan??

I have never been a fan nor have I ever considered purchasing a station wagon/estate vehicle, but BMW has certainly changed my mind with this new design philosophy. It's incredibly sleek and as noted by some and as well is my own opinion, is much better looking than the sedan and more so than the GT. If an F11 M5 touring were to come out, it would be depressing not to see it come stateside which it most likely won't. BMW has a winner here.

wagons
Interesting to read that in the states the wagons are not popular. In Norway 90% of the 3 or 5 series BMWs are wagons. Used sedans sells for much less than station wagons. I own an 330ix touring, and ordered the F11 yesterday for delivery in september
Example of an good looking wagon below : http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=273337 |

I have also ordered an F11 525dT with delivery in October. In contrast to the BMW press kit the touring will be available as the 525d from start. I had my sales rep confirm this with BMW and so is the case. |

"Hope Springs Eternal" - E-Class Touring in USA
http://www.autoblog.com/2010/03/31/n...gon/#continued
Autoblog reports that the E350 Estate is coming to North America - even after M-B execs stated they would do no such thing. That *REALLY* gives me hope the BMW will do likewise with the F11. Autoblog has some pretty good shots of the E350 from the NYIAS. I think the F11 is better looking and can be had with a stick, but this point of entry by M-B may show automakers that the big SUV is passe, and great-looking, great-driving wagons could be making a serious comback. On another related note, the sun is shining here in Central Pennsylvania and someone took his 1969 Chevy Nomad Wagon out for a spin. NICE RIDE! |

"Practicality is the new BLACK" - Fox News
http://www.foxnews.com/slideshow/lei...national-auto/
"Power to the people...carriers. The 2010 edition of the New York International Auto show is short on slick new sports cars and packed with family cars, including a couple that think they're sports cars. From 40 mpg sedans to hybrid SUVs to 190 mph station wagons, practicality is the new black in the auto industry, so load up the family and join us on a tour of all of the new cars at the show" Well, there you go! Merc is pushing their E350 Estate, Caddy has answered the market's call for the CTS-V Sport Wagon (HOT!!!). Now it's BMW's chance to blow them all out of the water with the F11. Who else out there in North America would buy one if offered? I'd certainly take one over the GT. |
