Bimmercode and battery registration...

I asked this in another sub section but I dont get much for replies over there...

I cant seem to find a direct answer to this. Can bimmercode register a new battery? Also, am I able to take the icar2 pro into another car and code that car?

No bimmercode will not code battery. Need BimmerLink. Same developer and cost the same 26 USD. Worth it can check and clear codes.

Carly for BMW also registers a battery for an additional cost apart from the app itself but really worth the 10-15 extra to register a new battery into any bmw that requires a battery to be registered. I just registered mine on a 2014 X5 this last week !

I have the icar2 obds Bluetooth adapter. Will this work with Carly? Or do I have to buy their hardware, as well?

Read somewhere a member used Icarly to register his battery. Much cheaper than the $200 I was quoted from the dealer. Does anyone know off the top of their head how much the Icarly app cost?

It is like 80, then a little more for that in app purchase.
Then the hardware, and if you didn't know, it a subscription based now.

Where as going with BimmerCode/BimmerLink...the cost of admission is the OBDII adapter+BC app+BL app...and there is no annual premium to stay subscribed and updated. If you've purchased the BC & BL apps...so far, their upgrades are free from the Google Play or Apple Store. And the OBDII adapter (like the Veepak OBD Check BLE adapter) runs like around $30 give or take and depending on if you use the amazon.com promo code...as well as approx $30 for each app.
