Intakes Installed

First of all, thanks badblack550xi for the awesome customer service and help with the install. Second, I love the sound!!! Serge has made a quality product and I couldn't be happier. With the temperatures hovering around 20 degrees here in MD, she's breathing really well and while I know intakes alone don't give too much HP gain, the sound and butt dyno tells me the car is faster...lol!!!

www.N63intake.com gets two thumbs up from this guy!

I'll post a video when I get a good one done.

I ordered mine from him as well, he was very communicative over text!

I should have mine on Monday.

Where does your 'butt dyno' feel a difference?

I'd imagine with slightly better airflow you'd feel the difference when you're driving along and need to step on it to pass someone by.

How much louder is it on the inside? just a nice rumble?

Looking forward to videos!

No audible change inside the cabin.

I "feel" the difference during acceleration. it's as if the difference is felt primarily when the car is its power band and seems to rev quicker

I went with the smaller filters even though the standard K&N/Spectre 6" filters will work, they just look too big IMO.

TheBlackGT Are you still waiting for the RK intakes to be developed?

So basically he told me it'll be too expensive to mass-produce and he'd rather focus his efforts on the new M550 coming out.

He can make me one special one-off prototype, but only thing he usually makes two to improve any initial fitment issues, but that wouldn't be the case this time. I'm still getting a good deal on it though. Should i go for it is the question

Hey, I know nothing about RK or BMS or anyone else doing intake development but I will say badblack550xi makes a dope product. Our engine bays are so tight, I understand why the development is so difficult. I got no CEL and every question I had was answered promptly by Serge. I started my install around 10pm and he was available via FB Chat every step of the way. The way I see it, you can't go wrong with his intakes.

Awesome. Oh yeah, everyone has great things to say about him no doubt. Those intakes are sick, I agree

how was the installation? how long did it take you?

Did you put the intake together outside of the car and then mount the entire intake?

I haven't even read thru the instructions all the way through yet

i'm going to review them thoroughly before i go thru with it, seems pretty straightforward.
