So many questions about wheels/tire

So, I would consider myself a self proclaimed wheel/tire moron. I've done a decent bit of research, but apparently I'm just dumb when it comes to wheels. So I have a handful of questions I'm hoping you guys could help me out with.

All of my questions refer to my 2016 535i xdrive m sport right now they are 19x8.5 all the way around with a +33 offset.

1. I'm looking into getting 20inch wheels to use as summer wheels instead of my stock 19 inch wheels. Problem is, wouldn't this throw off my speedometer? And if so, how would 8 fix that?

2. Since my car is xdrive, would it be best to go with a square setup over say 20x9 front and 20x10 in back? Or should that not really be a concern?

3. Would going to a +40 offset be too far off spec? My stock wheels are +33.

There are probably more questions, but I can't think of them right now. Thanks in advance guys!

1. Assuming you're not going for a massively different spec, it's so small it won't matter. If you're really that concerned, get a GPS speed app for your phone (google maps and waze have this by default)

2. The only concern is tire rotation with staggered. Staggered is fine as long as the total diameter of the front and back wheels are within 1%, per BMW's specs

3. You'd be moving the wheel 7mm in. Are you sure about this offset? I don't really see folks go LESS aggressive than stock tbh.

So I have had to install a speed healer on my R6 bike when I went with a larger rear sprocket. I was wondering if the fix for a car would be similar? Even if the difference would be minimal, Im that weird one that would be bothered by it to no end..

From the specs I have on my car, I have a 33 offzet with the stock performance 19in wheels. Most of the 20in wheels i have been looking at are 35-40 for the offest. maybe because I am looking at 9-10 width, while my stocks are 8.5?

Installing a larger sprocket on a bike is a whole different ballgame compared to swapping out wheels/tires. Why are you bothered by it? It's not like the speedometer is accurate to begin with. It reads like 3-4% faster than actual speed straight out of the factory.

Ah, wasn't aware you were changing width, thought you were only upsizing. Not 100% sure on the offsets, remmib is usually the go to for this

I have no logical reason as to why it would bother me... it just would

Thanks for the contact!

Going with a 245/35/20 will keep the wheel diameter the same as your 19s, so it wouldn't through off the speedometer.
Offsets; I wouldn't go higher than ET35 on a 20x9 wheel.
