343M RIMS 245/40/20 & 285/35/20 on their F10 550I XDRIVE?
Hey guys,
I have a 2016 BMW 550i xdrive with 343m M5 rims currently and with a 3mm spacer (looking to eventually removing that with m5 caliper changes) and i was wondering, would it be possible to currently run 245/40/20 & 285/35/20 on my F10 550i xdrive awd without it causes an issue with rubbing? Also, if i get dinan springs to lower the car, would that tire size be a problem with the 40 front side wall height and 35 rear side wall height? For the awd system it's less than 1% difference between the front and rear diameter so its not a problem with that. Currently I have a 245/35/20 & 285/30/20 for summer tires but I cant seem to find winter tires for that size and plus I would like the higher tire height to fill the tire gap better and for more comfort. Any advice would be great! |

I am running the same fronts but slightly smaller (275/35/20) rears. No rubbing, even on pretty aggressive lowering.

I am running this as my winter set style 343m currently. I'm also using a 3mm spacer upfront to have the flush look.
245/40/20 front, 285/35/20 rear. If I had to do it again I would go with 255/40/20 front, 285/35/20 rear. Continental Tires were the only tires that were available to me at the time. |
